Sunday 10.30am

Whether you are a regular churchgoer or just dipping your toes in,  you are welcome at Emmanuel! We are a diverse community of different backgrounds, cultures and experiences, and we’d love for you to come just as you are.

Our services are informal and welcoming to all ages, with worship music led by a band, and different speakers and leaders each week. They usually last around an hour and fifteen minutes.

The second Sunday of the month is an informal Communion service.

Tea and fresh coffee are available both before and after the service from the hatch in the entrance lobby.

We live-stream most of our services on YouTube for those who are unable to be with us in person. The livestream starts shortly after 10.30am, and remains online on YouTube for a few weeks afterwards.

Children & Young People

We love kids! Emmanuel is a family-friendly church. We believe children and young people should be seen, heard and be fully involved in all aspects of church. We love to learn from the younger members of our congregation, and believe God speaks to us through them.

We have a toddler zone at the back of church with carpets and toys, and love to hear and interact with children during the service.

Most weeks during term-time there are Light groups for children aged 2 to 11, and Synergy for young people in Years 6 to 9, where children and young people can explore and grow in faith together.

The first Sunday of each month is usually an all-age service without groups. This service is interactive and includes different activity zones including crafts and lego, Minecraft, a quiet, contemplative space and a discussion area.

Minecraft Church

Minecraft Church takes place once a month on the last Saturday of the month, 10-11.30am.

Each month we explore a Bible story through a collaborative build in Minecraft, as well as games and creative prayers. We provide tablets (but do bring your own if you have one!) and have people on hand who can show you how to get started if you’re new to Minecraft. We also have lego and duplo for younger children and non-Minecrafters to build with. Parents are asked to stay with their young people (and get involved!), and we keep you topped up with tea, coffee, biscuits and squash!

This group is especially sensitive to and inclusive of those with neurodiversities. If you would like to know more, see our Minecraft page or contact one of our vicars.
